Forgotten Treasures

Hi there everyone!

Today I decided to make a card using items that I've bought and not really used enough.

I found two stamps that I bought ages & ages ago and hadn't used, and after a coffee and some thought about how to use them, I came up with this:-

So, what do you think? I'm quite pleased with it!! (I had to take the photo at a funny angle as I was getting glare from my flash).

Here's a close up of the stamped images:

The cat stamp is a Hampton Art Stamp "Sketched Cat", and script stamp is by EK Success, but I can't find a name on it.

I stamped the script image onto clouded parchment paper using Perfect Medium and then dusted it with Perfect Pearls "Perfect Bronze", the cat image was stamped onto cream card and dusted the same way.

I cut around the script image with deckle edge scissors, crumpled it up and then inked around the edge with a Brilliance Cosmic Copper ink pad. This gave it a slight distressed look.

I cut the cat image using Nesties and mounted it onto gold pearl card.

The flowers & ribbon are from my usual stash.

So anyway,I think I've done well using things that I don't use often enough - two stamps & my Perfect Pearls, along with the parchment paper too - not bad eh!!

To top it off, I noticed over on the Papertake Weekly Challenge Blog the theme is Animal Antics - use an animal somewhere on you card - so Bingo, I can enter into a challenge as well. Hurray!!

Thanks for dropping by.
