So.....what did I make?

I made this card

To make my "Print n Cut" element, I opened my Saturated Canary Digi in Silhouette, traced it and off set the trace for my cut line.  I then printed it on my printer (not forgetting to print the registration marks) and then cut it in my Silhouette Cameo.  I then coloured the image using my Copic Markers.

Here's my shaped card

I really enjoyed making this card  I've never designed a shaped card before and so this was a steep learning curve for me!!!!  I decided to go for something quite straightforward and then got hubby involved, he drew the design into silhouette for me, and then I did all the cutting and sticking.

The windows are vellum, but the photos don't show this very well!  The two cats are die cut on my Sizzix and the Topiary Tree is from the Silhouette Store.  The house is all the design of Lazy Cats Cards.  If you would like a copy of the studio files we made, please EMAIL ME and I will send it to you.

Scrapper's Delight New Release

I've been playing with Fruity Babies Apple Tina.  I made this CAS card.

I coloured Apple Tina using my Copic Markers and for the grass and sky I used chalks.

A little Alteration

Hi Everyone

A few years ago (yes I mean years and probalby about 5 or more !!!!)  I bought this .....

Now I know what you're thinking - why did you buy this?  Well, I bought it with the intention of improving it's look !!!!!

For over five year's this little drawer unit has sat on my shelf looking at me begging to be turned into something of beauty, and finally the transformation began :-)

First I covered it in some tissue paper from 7 Gypsies.

Then I left it for a week, just to make sure that it was all dry - I used a lot of Decoupatch glue !!! 

This week, I routed through my stash to find some vintage type embellishments to make it look pretty. 

I used the same Decoupatch glue to stick on the paper embellishments and then used my hot glue gun for the rest.  Once it was all dry, I added a little Gold Wax Patina here and there, which finished it off nicely.

I used all sorts of stuff, most of which I have no idea where it came from lol !!!  

Here are a few photos of the finished unit.

I am soooo pleased with how this has turned out.  I can't wait to get started on another similar project.  I need to source more "junk" as hubby calls it, but that will, of course, be a pleasure to do too!!! 

(I haven't got a clue where most of it came from though so it could take a while finding more, if anyone knows of any good online sources of "junk" please let me know)
