If you have never used the Silhouette for glass etching here is a how to video.

Well, I have never used my Silhouette for glass etching, or done any glass etching before, so I thought I'd give it a go for our challenge.  I decided to make a dessert set - one large serving bowl and four smaller dessert bowls.  I chose a suitable image from the Silhouette Store, I then drew a rectangle around the design in order the made the template.  I then sized this suitable for the large bowl before reducing it to suit the size of the smaller bowls.  I cut my template using my Silhouette and then followed the glass etching instructions that come with the Glass Etching Starter Kit from Silhouette.

Here's the result

I really enjoyed glass etching and will definitely be doing it again!!

What are you waiting on? Step outside your comfort zone and join in the fun.

You can find our challenge over at the Silhouette Challenge Blog, with lots of inspiration from some other members of our fabulous design team.

Thanks for stopping by today.

  8. This is such a stunning set Penni and it makes a fantastic gift especially as you could add an initial to it if you wanted to personalise. I hate to think how much this cost in the shops all done like this.
