Ship Ahoy !!!

Hi Everyone

Today I have a lovely lighthouse to share

I added two Magnolia images, which I coloured using my Copic Markers.  Here's a close-up:

I also added a couple of shell charms and an anchor charm, which I attached with twine,

I cut all the pieces for my lighthouse using my Silhouette Cameo and a file from svgcuts.com which you can find HERE.
The papers I used are from Grapic 45.
The charms and twine are from my stash.

Of course, every Lighthouse Keeper needs a cottage to live in, so I made a cottage too...

If you have never used the Silhouette for glass etching here is a how to video.

Well, I have never used my Silhouette for glass etching, or done any glass etching before, so I thought I'd give it a go for our challenge.  I decided to make a dessert set - one large serving bowl and four smaller dessert bowls.  I chose a suitable image from the Silhouette Store, I then drew a rectangle around the design in order the made the template.  I then sized this suitable for the large bowl before reducing it to suit the size of the smaller bowls.  I cut my template using my Silhouette and then followed the glass etching instructions that come with the Glass Etching Starter Kit from Silhouette.

Here's the result

I really enjoyed glass etching and will definitely be doing it again!!

What are you waiting on? Step outside your comfort zone and join in the fun.

You can find our challenge over at the Silhouette Challenge Blog, with lots of inspiration from some other members of our fabulous design team.

So.....what did I make?

I made this card

To make my "Print n Cut" element, I opened my Saturated Canary Digi in Silhouette, traced it and off set the trace for my cut line.  I then printed it on my printer (not forgetting to print the registration marks) and then cut it in my Silhouette Cameo.  I then coloured the image using my Copic Markers.

Here's a close up of the cut and coloured image:

Materials used for this card:

Image - Vintage Violet from Saturated Canary
Colouring Medium - Copic Markers
Papers - From the Bo Bunny Jazmyne Collection
Card - From my stash
Dies - Magnolia So Wrapped Heart and Creatalbes Flourish
Ribbon, Buttons, Twine and Flowers from my stash
