Copic Colouring "Textured" Jeans - A Video Tutorial

Hi

When I colour jeans with my Copic Markers, I like to add some texture using Holtz Copic Activator and a scrap of old denim cloth.  I've made a video showing how I do this.

If you don't have any Holtz Copic Activator, you can use Colourless Blender Refill Fluid or Copic Cleaner Fluid in a Mini Mister instead.

I used this image to make a note book using my We R Memory Keepers Cinch.

The image is from Saturated Canary and is called "Love Letters".  Here's a close up of the finished image:

Make it Crafty DT Call

Hi

Have you heard?  Zoe at Make It Crafty is having a DT Call.  I love Zoe's products, so of course I've given it a go.

Australia: Cut using my Silhouette

DT Call Questions:

Country of Residence - I live in Nottingham, England.

What style of creations do you like to make?  I would describe my style as Cute, with some Shabby Chic.

What do you enjoy most about crafting?  My main area of work is card making, although I really enjoy trying other types of project, such as alteration or 3D template work.

What are your favourite products at Make It Crafty?  … is this a trick question? All of the products are fabulous, but I suppose that I would favour the digi images and the chipboard embellishments. Digi’s are so versatile and the ones from Make It Crafty are First Class. As for the embellishments – you can never have enough in your stash!

Why would you like to be on the Make It Crafty Team? Being on the Make It Crafty team would be an absolute honour. The style and quality of the products is fantastic and it would allow me to use my artistic imagination and colouring skills to promote products that I really believe in and want to show off to the rest of the world.

Link up one of your favourite project and say why this is your favourite. One of my favourite projects at the moment is Say It With Flowers. This card combines stamping and colouring with flowers, embellishments, design papers and die cuts to produce a card that is gentle and feminine within a framework of numerous different techniques.

I'm also going to enter this card into the following challenges:

Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Use Green
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Cute as a Button (use buttons on your card)
2 Sisters Challenge - Spots n Dots

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you like my card.

Erin At Crufts

Hi Everyone

Simon here with another instalment of the crazy situations that I call 'Life'.

I know that Crufts is supposed to be a dog show for dog lovers, but Erin the cat seemed fascinated by the dog agility on the television last night. She sat, watched all of the action and then let her opinions be known!

The video below shows her watching in amazement as the 'silly' dogs perform like ... well, performing dogs!!!

Have a look and see what you think. Am I the only sane and sensible level headed person around here?!?

I hope that you enjoyed this little moment of madness.

Keep smiling ! That way, nobody is ever sure what you are thinking !?!

Simon.
