SFTW Challenge #22 - DT Card

Hi

It's Friday again and that means another challenge over at Stampin' For The Weekend

We have a great theme for you this week:  "Back to the 80s with a difference"

This challenge is a combination of any of the three song titles and a colour combo.......we wanna see what you can come up with for this one. You only need to use the title for this challenge, not the song lyrics........and the three songs for this challenge are:

1. Girls on Film - Duran Duran
2. Dirty Laundry - Don Henley
3. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper

The colour combo is Orange, Blue and Purple

We have a great sponsor this week - Peachy Keen Stamps.

Kathy, the owner, is offering this week's lucky winner a $25 shopping voucher for her shop - WOW what a great prize !!!!

I chose Girls on Film - Duran Duran, here's my card.

I used a Sugar Nellie Gorjus Girl stamp, twice, and also a great camera stamp from Alota Rubber Stamps, all coloured with my Copics.

I printed the film strip on my computer and the buttons, flowers spacer and brad are all from my stash.

So, get yourselves over to Stampin' For The Weekend to see all the great cards made the rest of our brilliantly talented DT. You'll find heaps of inspiration there.

Also, don't forget this week's Guest Designers who are the very talented Lil Sis and Gry-Heidi.  Please take some time to pay them a visit, you won't be disappointed!

Thanks for dropping by today, I can't wait to see what you come up with for this challenge!!

Nutty Nutshells Challenge #2 GDT Card

Hi

Over at Nutshells it's time for our second Nutty Nutshell's Challenge!!

"For this week's challenge, you should go out and find yourself a sketch challenge that is currently running (Mojo Monday, etc) and make a card using that sketch and ANY line of stamps that are available in the Nutcrafter's store!!! That makes it nice and easy for everyone to participate!! So go over to Nutcrafter's and see the selection of stamps from lots of different companies such as The Greeting Farm, Stampavie, Magnolia, Ladybug & Friends, High Hopes, Buddy Bear and Sarah Kay. You can also get out Nutshells, Harriet Hurst and our Digi Image Pink Frosting - the Breast Cancer Awareness set. Which is too cute! I'm sure that you have something in your stash that you can use and you can order something new for next time!!"

I popped on over the Tuesday Morning Sketches, where Melissa has a great sketch to play with this week.
This sketch is also being used for the challenge over at There She Goes, so I can enter my card into two challenges - what a bonus!!!

I turned the sketch and made this card:

I used a fabulous Nutshells stamp - Hazel with Handbag and coloured her with my Copic Markers.

The papers, ribbon and charms are all from my stash.

So, hop on over to the Nutshells Blog - The challenge runs for two weeks, so you've plenty of time to find yourself a sketch and join in the fun !!!

Cuddly Buddly Bookmark

Hi

Today I have something a little different - a bookmark.

I made this using a giant paperclip, which I bought in a pack of 10 from my local stationery suppliers.

The image is from the Cuddly Buddly Ladybirds, Snail and Grass Unmounted Rubber Stamps set.  I coloured the snail using my Copic markers and then highlighted it using some orange glitter.

I cut the circles using my Nesties.  I used a brad on the reverse so that it didn't look too plain.

I stuck the circles to the top of the paperclip using silicone glue.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Hope you like it.
