Pretty in Pink

This week over at Just Magnolia they have a colour challenge of Grey, Pink and (optional) Black.

Here's what I came up with:

I used New Year Tilda, coloured with Copics.  I added a little "Hi Ho Silver" Shimmerz to her shoes, but the camera hasn't really picked this up.

The papers are Basic Grey.  The flowers, ribbon, charm, lace and adhesive pearls are all from my stash.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hope you like it.

Cuddly Buddly Santa

Happy Tuesday Morning!!!

Today I have my first Cuddly Buddly Crafty Friends card to show you.  I've made it following this week's  sketch over at Friday Sketchers.

Here's my card...

I used Cuddly Buddly Santa - Large Unmounted Rubber Stamp Set.  This is a five piece stamp set featuring a jolly Santa and four add-on 3D elements - Hand holding a stocking with a teddy peeking out of the top, a hand holding two huge lollipops, a hand holding Santa's list (which I've used) and a pair of hands.

I stamped Santa onto Manga Art Board using Memento Ink and then coloured him using my Copic Markers.  I curled his list slightly and fixed it using Silicone Glue for dimension.

The papers are also from Cuddly Buddly, they are from the downloadalbe Winter Warm Papers set.

I made the poinsettia using Spelbinders Nested Poinsettia Dies and card & gems from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Pretty Willow

Hi

I should be at work today, but Edward hurt his head at school and I had to fetch him home this morning.  Whilst he has been recovering I've made very good use of my time and made a card for this week's Whiff of Joy Challenge

The challenge this week is a recipe:- 6 Brads, 3 Patterned Papers and 2 Flowers.

Here's my card:

I used the WOJ Willow with Flower Basket stamp.  I stamped her onto Manga Art Board using black Memento ink, I then coloured her with my Copics.  I added a little sprinkling of glitter too.

The papers are from the MME Wild Asparagus 6X6 Stack, which I received the other day from Fran, they were part of her mini candy that I won.  Thank you Fran, they're beautiful.

I stamped and embossed a flourish to sit behind the flowers for extra detail.

The pale green card and brads are from my stash and the flowers are Prima.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you like it.  I feel I've made very good use of my unexpected time at home today lol!!!

Hocus Pocus !!!

Hi Everyone.

Today I've made a card for the Fall Colour Challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil Group on Paper Craft Planet.

We had to use the colours:
  • Orange (SU Pumpkin Pie)
  • Yellow or Mustard (SU Summer Sun)
  • Olive green (SU Old Olive)
  • Chocolate Brown (SU Chocolate
I used an image of Mo's of course, its called Trying to Read and can be found here.  Mo is an amazing artist and has a fabulous collection of digital images for you to choose from, she is well worth a visit.

So here's my card:

I don't have any Stampin Up colours, so I did the best I could with my faithful Copics.

I used a little Gold Glimmer Shimmerz on the Wizard's cloak and the fireflies, but the camera hasn't picked this up very well.

I used black Coordinations card for the layering, alternating between the black side and the reverse coloured side.  The flourish is a Sizzix Sizzlets Die also cut from Coordinations card.  The adhesive gems are from my stash.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you like it

Santa's Little Helper

Hi

Today I've made a card following this week's Sketch over at Sketch Saturday.

Here's my card.

I used House Mouse "Santa's Little Helper" Stamp.  Maxwell mouse looks so cute in his Santa hat!!!

I stamped Maxwell onto Manga Art Board using Memento ink.  I then coloured him using Copic Markers and a little Angel Wings Shimmerz on his hat.  I distressed the edge of the image using Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Fire Brick.  I mounted Maxwell onto black/red coordinations card stock, which I distressed and sprayed with some gold Glimmer Mist.

The papers and flowers are from my stash.

Thanks for dropping by today, hope you like it.

Sweet Pickin's

Hi
Today I have a card that I've made for the House Mouse Monday Challenge Blog.  This week's challenge is "A Year-In-Review", you have to choose your favourite House Mouse & Friends challenge from the past year and create a new project.  I have never entered this challenge before, but had a look back over the past year and chose to do Challenge 32 "Something Sweet".
So, here's my card:

I've used the Jelly Bean Heist stamp, which I love.  I stamped it onto Manga Art Board using black Memento Ink and coloured it with my Copics.

The paper and pearls are from my stash.  The green ribbon is also from my stash and I tied it in a double bow and poked a pretty pin through it.  I then stuck this onto the card.
Anyway, hope you like it.
Thanks for dropping by.

Whiff of Joy Stamps - Guest Designer Call

Hi everyone

Today I have two cards that I have created for the Whiff of Joy Guest Designer Call.
Katharina is looking for passionate, talented crafters with great colouration skills to complement her Design Team for the next 2.5 months (end September, October, November).  The call ends on 19 September.

For my first card I used the Willow with Flower Basket stamp, which I stamped onto Manga Art Board using Memento ink.  I then coloured her using my Copic Markers.  I used some Sweet Pea Flower Soft for  the flowers in Willow's basket.

I made a small flower arrangement using roses from my stash along with a few pins and some adhesive pearls.
The flourish has been cut using a Sizzix die from the same green card that I used to mount my image.  I sprayed it with a little Glimmer Mist in Irridescent Gold to give it some sparkle.
The papers and ribbon are from my stash.
For my second card I chose to use Henry Celebrating Mouse.  I stamped him in the same way as Willow and again coloured him using my Copic Markers.

I kept this card simple and just used some ribbon and pearls from my stash as embellishments, along with the "Sweet Cakes" sentiment, which I think suits him perfectly.

Thanks for dropping by today.  I hope you like the cards I've made, I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!

Back to School

Today's card fits in with three challenges:

Cute Card Thursday where the theme is "Back to School"

Copic Creations where this week's challenge is to use your favourite colour combinations.

And Friday Sketchers who have this great sketch (which I turned)  ...

So, here's what I've made:

I used two Magnolia stamps, Edwin in Glasses and School Books.  I stamped them both onto Manga Art Board using Memento Ink and coloured them with my Copic Markers.  For Edwin I used a combination of Blues and Reds.  I cut the pile of books into two, sitting Edwin on three and using the other two as an embellishment.

The papers are all printed from my computer.
Anyway, thanks for dropping by today, hope you like it.

A Piece of Cake !!!!

Hi everyone,

Today I have an entry for the C.R.A.F.T Challenge, which this week is anything except a card.

I've made a piece of cake and decorated it using flowers, ribbon & a hat pin.

The flower arrangement ...

I found a template at Paper Craft Planet, but the sizes quoted meant that if you made a whole cake you would need 11 slices. As I am hoping to find the time to make a whole cake, using coordinating card for different slices, I decided to alter the dimensions so that 12 slices would make a whole cake. So, with the help of my Technical Support Department (AKA my Hubby !!!) I now have a template that, when made, will make a whole cake with 12 slices.
If you would like to use my altered template then you are welcome to download it. However, it would be nice if you could link back to my blog please and leave me a comment so that I can see what you have created!
It will not matter how large the slice of cake is, if you scale the template up or down it will always make a 12 slice cake.

  1. With your mouse on the template image, press the LEFT button on your mouse once. This should open the template image in a new, bigger window.
  2. Now, with your mouse on the new image, press the RIGHT button on your mouse once. A menu will appear. Choose the “Save Picture As” option and then choose a location on your computer to store it to.
  3. If you now open the image from your computer, you should be able to print it full-size on an A4 sheet.
HINT:
If you print the image on the back of your card in draft mode (to save ink!) you can then follow the score lines without them showing on the outside of your box.

Hope you like this.

Thanks for dropping by.
