A Christmas Card - but it's only April !!!!

Yes, I know it's only April, but we have to start thinking about those Christmas cards sooner or later - admit it you know I'm right!!!

This week's challenge over at Magnolia Down Under is "Spot the Dots".

Well, can you "Spot the Dots" !?!

I decided to stick with the traditional red & green (a bit boring I know, but I'll be braver next time - promise!!).

I've coloured Tilda with my Copic Ciao Markers - nothing new there then!!!

The papers, ribbon and "Merry Christmas" charm are from my stash. I used a few jump rings to hang the charm from the ribbon. The red flower is from Hobbycraft and I popped a green Papermania flower behind it to represent leaves.

Hope you like it - and remember Christmas is not that far away!!!!!

Thanks for dropping by, hope to see you again soon.

Pretty in Pink & Green

Happy Monday - Hope you all had a good weekend!

Over at the Just Magnolia Challenge Blog the theme for this week is Pink & Green. I love this colour combination.....

I've used Tilda with Tulips from the Easter Magnolia Collection.

The DP & ribbon are from my stash and I got the flowers and charm from Hobbycraft.

To attach the charm I followed Bev's tutorial on "Attaching Charms with Chain & Jump Rings", click here to take a look - thanks Bev.

Anyway, hope you like her.

Thanks for dropping by.

Copic Colour Challenge with another new stamp!

Hello - Hope you've had a good Saturday.

My boys were busy playing on the Wii this afternoon, so I blogged my way over to the Copic Colour Challenge. This week we have to use a combination of RV34, B02 & B39.

I decided to use another of the new stamps I recently bought - Sarah Kay Spring Blossoms.

Here's a close-up to show the colouring in a bit more detail...

I've used some Flower Soft (Sweet Pea) for the first time - do you like it?

All the other bits & bobs are from my stash, I've used a K&Co paper and some Coordinations card which I've crumbed and sanded. The flowers are Papermania.

Anyway - That's me for today.
Hugs

Fish For Tea!!!

Hi everyone - hope you're having a good Friday evening - all is peaceful here, my boys are in bed and hubby is away in France with work, so I have some time alone to stamp & colour - luxury!!!

I ordered some new stamps last week, and now I have some time to play. My favorite purchase was a Sugar Nellie Stamp called "Fish Bowl".

Over at the
Copic Creations Blog they have their second challenge which is "Coloring/Blending/Shading/Designing Jeans". So here's what I've created using my new "favorite"stamp -

What do you think - isn't he just wonderful?

To colour his jeans I've used
  • B97 Night Blue
  • B95 Light Grayish Cobalt
  • B93 Light Crockery Blue
  • C-3 Cool Grey No3
  • 0 Colourless Blender

I also used some Glossy Accents on the fish bowl to give it some shine.

I've used some K & Co Papers and the ribbon and buckle are from my stash. For my matting and layering I used my trusty nestibilities (where would I be without those!?!)

Anyway, I hope you like him.

Best wishes

Copic Colour Challenge #9

Hi Everyone

This week over at the Copic Colour Challenge Blog we've been asked to use the following three colours:- R59 Cardinal, YR07 Cadmium Orange and G99 Olive.
I decided to use a Martha Stamp from the Magnolia Goblin Collection. I've had her for ages and never used her, but I thought that these colours worked well with her. I especially like the way her red hair has turned out ;-)
Hope you like her too.
Best wishes

Magnolia Down Under Challenge#7

Hi again.

I decided to try out another challenge!! This time, I popped over to the Magnolia Down Under Challenge Blog where this week's challenge is "Sepia".

This is probably not a colour scheme I would have come up with myself, but I'm really pleased with how my card's turned out.
I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tea Dye to stamp my Tilda image and then bled out the colour with my water brush - a new technique for me!! I used Marvy LePlume Water Colour Pens to highlight the sunflower.
Everything else I used is from my stash.
Hope you like it :-)
