Copic Colour Challenge 15

Hi Everyone.

Hope you've all had a fab weekend with plenty of "fun in the sun!"

Today I have a card that I've made for the Copic Colour Challenge. This week we were given the following three colours to play with...

Here's my card...

And a close up of the image...

I used a Sugar Nellie Home Grown Stamp "Where's Mine?" - love these stamps they're just adorable.

The DP is by K&Co, but I don't know what it's called (I've cut the name off!!!) and I've used some Variagated Copper Gilding Flakes in the corners of the card and around the edge of the image.

The coloured card is from my stash, as are the two brads.

Anyway, thanks for dropping by, hope you like it.

Magnolia with Ladybug

Good Evening Everyone.

I have an ATC for you today.

It is the first ATC I've made, I made it a while ago and have decided to post it for the Simon Says Stamp Magnolia Blog Candy - all you have to do is be creative with the Magnolia Chasing Butterflies Collection and link your post on their blog by 31 May and you could win a $100 shopping spree at Simon Says Stamp!

So, what do you think of my first ATC?
I've used the Tilda with Ladybug stamp (I love this cute image) and have coloured her with my Copics.

The flowers are Papermania and Prima, I've hung a charm from them using some chain & jump rings and put some gems in the centre.

The DP is from my stash.

Hope you like it.

Thanks for dropping by.

Party Girl - Nutshells Design Team Call

Hi Everyone - hope you all had a fab long weekend.

My post today is for the Nutshells Design Team Call. There is a whole new range of Nutshells on their way, but before their release a new Design Team is needed to promote them.

To be in with a chance of being on the DT, you have to make a card using an exclusive Nutshells image and this sketch:

Here's my card:

I chose plain card in four colours.

I used a Whisper's stamp and embossed using Heat It Up Seafoam White Embossing Powder, this gave the card a common "party" theme.

I printed out the Nutshells image and coloured her using my Copic Markers, here's a close-up :
The balloons were die cut using pearl card, I shaped them slightly and gave dimension using silicone glue. I drew a black line to represent cord, so she is holding the balloons.

I really liked this sketch and the image is delightful - she looks like a real Party Girl, ready to celebrate the launch of the new Nutshells stamp range!!

Anyway, thanks for dropping by and leaving your comments, they are always gratefully received.

Get Well Soon

Hi Everyone - Hope you're all enjoying the sunny Bank Holiday Weekend, lets hope it lasts for the whole of the half-term week!!!

Today's post is for the Allsorts Challenge Blog. This week the brief was "No Stamped Image", this was a good excuse for me to use my Big Shot for something other than my Nesties!!!

I've used Go Kreate Dies "Boo the Bear" & "Get Well Soon" and my Nesties to mat him onto.

I used some foam pads behind Boo for dimension.

The DP is from Joanna Sheen's Messy Rabbit CD.

This is quite a simple layout and I really like the end result, hope you like it too.

Thanks for dropping by.

Skating Stars

Hi Everyone

My post today is for the Just Magnolia Challenge. I love my Magnolia stamps and really enjoy the Just Magnolia challenges.

This week we were given a sketch to follow and here's my entry:

I've made another Christmas card - I'm really getting into making these now and have made quite a good start on this year's, still a long way to go though!!

The stamp is Edwin & Tilda on Ice and I coloured it with my Copics.

The papers are from my stash - over the past few years I've managed to collect loads of different Christmassy papers - I am going to try not to buy any this year and use up my stash - I don't see me sticking to that somehow though!!

The flowers are Papermania and I used my nestabilities to cut my squares for matting and layering.

Anyway, I hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Copic Colour Challenge 13

Hi there again - my second post today!!

I remembered that I'd made a card for this week's Copic Colour Challenge, but hadn't posted it - oops!!

Anyway, this week's challenge was a Sketch Challenge - here's my entry:

How many Copics did I use!!!

The image is All Wrapped Up from Funstamps, designed by Lindsay Mason, it's one of my favorite stamps - I have so many favorites!!!

Here's a close up - how cute are they, holding hands in the snow!?!

All the papers are from my stash, along with the ribbon.

I'm glad I remembered this card, I would've have been disappointed to miss this weeks Copic Colour Challenge!!!

See you again soon.

Allsorts Challenge 1

Morning Everyone, Happy Tuesday!!

My post today is for the Allsorts Challenge. They are a new challenge blog, so pop on over and take a look. They have a fab prize on offer from their sponsors, Sir Stampalot.

For their first challenge the theme is "SWEETS", and here's my yummy offering:

I decided to use candy canes for the sweet element and make a Christmas card (you know we can never start too early!!).

I've used Magnolia's New Year Tilda & Candy Cane stamps and coloured them using my Copics.

The green background is vellum, and the DP to the left of Tilda is cut from some paper I had in my stash (it's amazing what you can find if you really hunt!!)

I used my Nesties to cut the squares for the matting & layering.

I've kept it quite simple, but I think Tilda look rather "sweet" sitting on her candy canes!!

Anyway, thanks for dropping by, your comments are always gratefully received.

Forgotten Treasures

Hi there everyone!

Today I decided to make a card using items that I've bought and not really used enough.

I found two stamps that I bought ages & ages ago and hadn't used, and after a coffee and some thought about how to use them, I came up with this:-

So, what do you think? I'm quite pleased with it!! (I had to take the photo at a funny angle as I was getting glare from my flash).

Here's a close up of the stamped images:

The cat stamp is a Hampton Art Stamp "Sketched Cat", and script stamp is by EK Success, but I can't find a name on it.

I stamped the script image onto clouded parchment paper using Perfect Medium and then dusted it with Perfect Pearls "Perfect Bronze", the cat image was stamped onto cream card and dusted the same way.

I cut around the script image with deckle edge scissors, crumpled it up and then inked around the edge with a Brilliance Cosmic Copper ink pad. This gave it a slight distressed look.

I cut the cat image using Nesties and mounted it onto gold pearl card.

The flowers & ribbon are from my usual stash.

So anyway,I think I've done well using things that I don't use often enough - two stamps & my Perfect Pearls, along with the parchment paper too - not bad eh!!

To top it off, I noticed over on the Papertake Weekly Challenge Blog the theme is Animal Antics - use an animal somewhere on you card - so Bingo, I can enter into a challenge as well. Hurray!!

Thanks for dropping by.

Friday Sketchers Challenge 51

Hello again - my second post today, though just a short one.

I've made a card for Friday Sketchers ....

I've used a Gorjuss Girl Stamp and this time I've painted her using my Twinkling H2Os ("what no Copics" I hear you cry!!!)

The papers are HOTP and the flowers are from my stash.

It's ages since I've painted anything - I've really enjoyed playing!!!

Bye for now

Just For You

Hello!!!

Hope you're all having a fab weekend in the sun ;-)

Today I've made a card for the Copic Colour Challenge . This time the colours are:

And here's what I've made:

This image is a Penny Black stamp - Buzz in the Air, and I've used the challenge colours for the hedgehog - I think he's turned out quite cute, but then he already was really!!

The papers are from my stash, as is the ribbon.

I've stamped the "Just for You" sentiment (which I think is Papermania) onto the same colour card as I've used for my mat and used some ribbon to make a little rosette.

I've cut a small Sizzix flourish to sit behind my prima flowers - I think it looks quite effective.

The circles have been cut using Nesties - and you thought I done them free-hand - he he he !!!

Anyway - Hubby has taken the kids swimming and I think I can hear a nice relaxing bath calling, maybe with a glass of wine, what do you think!?!

A Spoon Full Of Sugar Challenge 50

Hi everyone - hope you're having a good Wednesday.

Today I've got a card for the Touchy Feely challenge over at A Spoon Full Of Sugar, we've had to use some texture in our cards this week.

As you can see, I've kept this one quite simple!!

I've used a Gorjuss Girl stamp and coloured it with my Copic Markers.

For the texture element, I've used red ribbon and some adhesive pearls, and also a small bouquet of roses - I have to confess to not making up the bouquet myself, I bought it a while ago (not sure where from!!) and have only used them now.

Here's a close up to show off the roses in more details.

I don't think you could get much more textured than this - lol !!!!!

Anyway hope you like it.

Thanks for looking

Party Dragon!!

Hello everyone, hope you had a jolly Bank Holiday weekend.

My post today is for the Copic Colour Challenge. This time we've been asked to use a combination of the following colours:-

I haven't got BG13 Mint Green, so I've had to miss out this colour.

I've used Stampavie's "Party Dragon" stamp for this challenge - I really like this image, the dragon makes me smile!!

I used E31 to colour his wings, tail tip and spines, and Y08 for the balloon. I've also used some glossy accents on the balloon to give it a little shine.

The papers are by HOTP.

I hope you like him.

Best wishes

Bouquet of Roses

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a good Bank Holiday weekend.

My post today is for the Just Magnolia Challenge Blog. This week we were set a sketch challenge.

Here's my offering:-

I had this lovely DP by Making Memories "Vintage Rose Bouquet Crackle" which I thought would look really nice with the Magnolia Tilda with Bouquet of Roses image.

I stamped the image using Adirondack Pitch Black ink onto Canson Manga Art Board and coloured her in with my Copics - I had to miss off her feet so that she would fit nicely onto my large oval nestie - hope she doesn't mind too much!!!!

I mounted her onto a scalloped oval cut from green vellum. The dusky pink paper is the reverse side of the Making Memories DP. I've also cut some Sizzix flourishes in pink & green for the right top corner. The flowers are Prima with a spacer, the ribbon and "Made for You" charm are from my stash.

I enjoyed this sketch challenge and I'm really please with how she turned out.

Thanks for dropping by.
